Can I believe this image of mine,
looking malnourished and dark-
I looked closely in the mirror:
to view the finest details.
I doubted strongly,
this horrifying reflection cant be mine!
I asked myself,
“ Does this mirror lie?”
The face was thin with hollowed cheeks,
eyes sunken as if searching for light
and lips dried out of thirst.
I never was like this before,
nor could I believe, this is my present!
I look utter malnourished.
The last time I found myself in the mirror
I was well groomed and attractive .
I wondered what happened?
I was startled.
An unexplainable fear gripped me.
A voice within said ,
“this is your reflection
through the word of God.”
The nourished image you know,
is your outer man.
You took time to groom him well,
nourished him with the finest things.
You had time to make yourself and,
the ones you loved ,merry all the time.
But forgot to feed you the life giving bread ,
and to drink from the living waters.
You never got enough time,
to nourish your inner-man.
So he became weak and malnourished.
But there is a beacon of hope for you…
If you reach till this mirror,
and find yourself sick,
and believe this mirror is true,
You will be replenished .
As the light reflected through this mirror
is life giving and is
the provider of life to all .
I was wonderfully touched-
by this mirror, and I promised ,
the owner of this mirror,
I will check myself each day -
in this mirror;the precious Word of God.
I will live by the living word,
and drink from the source of life.
I am glad today, as I saw my worthless image,
in the true mirror that day.
In Christ Jesus,
